Our Chalk is sourced from a local high quality, soft white chalk deposit that has been quarried for more than sixty years. These chalk deposits, quarried in East Yorkshire, were formed during the Upper Cretaceous period. The raw material for our FordaCal product range originates from the waste flow of marble off-cuts of dimension stone, quarried in Northern Italy. This exceptionally white, pure calcium carbonate is used in fillers and extenders across a diverse range of applications and, thanks to its use of 100% recycled materials, it has excellent sustainability credentials in accordance with ISO 14021. Limestone filler grades are processed at our Gurney Slade, Wicken and Stockton-on-Tees sites and are used across a range of applications including construction products, road and runway surfacing, animal feed and many others.

Established in 1927, Longcliffe Quarries Ltd has been a long-standing supplier of UK limestone and dolomite, producing over one million tonnes of the calcium carbonate products every year.
